This computer package uses an algorithm that can create a polypeptide chain from its aminoacid sequence (Primary Structure). It can also alter the phi, psi angles, of some or all amino acids of the polypeptide created at will. The Create Module is written in C++.
A detailed description of the Input is given below. The Output is controlled by three different modules written utilising C++ and the representation is made by the popular Chemscape Chime Java Plugin developed by MDL, which can be downloaded from here.
The calculation is executed on a web server located at the Department of Cell Biology and Biophysics of the University of Athens. The machine is an o2 SGI with a 180 MHz R5000 processor and 192 Mbytes of main memory.
The results are displayed either in graphics (the Chemscape Chime should be installed) or in text mode.
